ABOUT THIS SITE
Trade Union and Training is intended to be a place where
people related to trade unions and training meet. It is also a point
of entry into the world of training from the point of view of the worker.
Training and knowledge as a vehicle to equal opportunities in employment
and the exercise of citizen rights is central to trade unionism at the
national and international level.
Cinterfor/ILO intents to support workers organizations continuously.
Trade Union and Training is the means by which the Centres seeks
to strengthen trade union protagonism in training activities; to develop
a continuous and collective strategy of exchange, cooperation and accumulation
of knowledge.
This site is developed in order to make workers, trade unions and trade
union counselors have an efficient and quick access to:
Collective agreement texts that incorporate vocational training as
a central issue.
Workers'
statements during meetings at the Technical Committee of Cinterfor/ILO
and other events organized by the Centre.
Publications,
documents, collective agreement texts, edited by Cinterfor/ ILO, trade
unions, international trade union organizations and other entities that
might be of interest to those in charge of training issues within trade
unions.
A billboard of trade union experiences in training issues at the national,
sector, enterprise, tripartite, bipartite or autonomous level. The experiences
are classified by country.
Information regarding events (seminars, conferences, etc.) that approach
training and that according to their contents or participation are of
interest to workers.
Trade
union with youth. This section is devoted to trade union activities
in relation to the young: trade union documents, vocational training
programmes and trade union training programmes for young workers, links
to section for the young in trade union web pages, etc.
Subscription
to "Carnaval": discussion list on trade unions and training.
Trade union activists, counselors and specialists exchange information,
opinions and discuss how to strengthen the role of trade unions in training.
Subscription
to the occupational health list. This list gathers information,
documents and opinions on occupational health from the workers point
of view.
Links
to the main sites of trade unions, international trade unions organizations,
trade union networks and ILO services.
