The main articles of Boletín "Educación y trabajo" that have been selected for inclusion in this issue of "Current training matters" are no doubt of exceptional conceptual and technical interest.

Notwithstanding the long and fruitful inter-institutional collaboration of Cinterfor/ILO and the Latin American Education and Labour Network, CIID-CENEP – of which this publication is one more achievement – it is only fair to recognise once again the work of the Network itself and the excellence of its Boletín "Educación y trabajo".

Its introductory articles are – despite their brevity – apt overviews of the subjects they tackle, and make up a suitable basis for readers (specialised or otherwise) to start on their systematic studies. Conciseness and conceptual accuracy are the virtues of this first component. The reviews, for their part, fulfil a complementary or alternative function: readers whose interest has been aroused by the introductory articles can follow subjects up in the reviews.

The publishing task of an institution like the Network, called upon to issue a periodical communication that may overcome the diversity of a vast and extensive region, and to do so with a multidisciplinary approach, rests upon sound theoretical and practical work, as witnessed by the high level and quality of its Boletín "Educatión y trabajo".
