In this work are presented the activities of a  program of integration of people with disability, carried out in the Agricultural School of Rivera, of the Universidad del Trabajo del Uruguay (UTU). It makes reference to the stages undertaken between March of  1994 and December of 1996, during the development of a technical cooperation agreement signed by the MAPFRE Medicina Foundation, of Spain, Cinterfor/ILO, UTU and the City Council of Rivera, Uruguay. It sets forth data, events, processes generated, achievements attained, significant facilities and limitations combined in these three years. Details of conceptual nature that give meaning and justification to the project from a theoretical point of view as well as an operational mode with the reality this was constructing and generating between those who participated in the Program. The experience was the starting point, and means of sustaining, of a series of actions that, with the passage of time, overcame their own limits, eventually incorporating institutional and social spaces of the local community, broader than was foreseen.
