SENATI obtains the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification
of its management system

 

As a result of the auditing of the Veritas Quality International Bureau (March 2000) the System of Quality Management and the System of Environmental Management of SENATI received the international certification in the following areas:

1. Design of vocational training programmes and courses.
2. Vocational training services and employment bureau in all its operational units at the national level (41).
3. Manufacturing and technical services, non-destructive tests and technical automobile service in its office at Lima-Callao.
4. Counselling and consultancy for small and medium enterprises in its office at Lima-Callao.

The ISO 9001 standard specifies the requirements for quality management systems to be applied to any organisation that needs to ensure and prove its capacity to offer products that fulfil the clients requirements.

The ISO 14001 establishes the global framework and the technical specifications with which the systems for environmental management must comply in order to satisfy the environmental responsibilities in a real and coherent way, with a preventive approach and within the legal framework.

SENATI is the first organisation in America that gets the certification under both international standards and one of the first educational centre in the world that obtains the certification on Environmental Management.

The certification of SENATI has particular importance since it is a vocational training centre and a technical service for the industry that will spread the quality and environmental responsibility culture through the users of its services.

The certifications were presented by the Veritas Quality International Bureau on April 23rd in the main auditorium of SENATI.
