With the exhibition of more than 50 productive projects on 15, 16 and
17 June, the Third Agrosena Fair 2006 was carried out at the Multisectoral
Centre of Mosquera (Km. 7 direction City Council). It seeks to disseminate
and show the manner in which SENA of Cundimara works with students from
the rural sector in its five training sectors. Through business exhibitions
it intends to show how it works in pursue of a culture of innovation,
technological development and entrepreneurship oriented to the rural
sector.
During the three days of the event, students from these training centres
and the City Councils of the department that deals with the regional
office presented innovating business projects, such as fruit flavoured
cheese, a project to automatise and improve the quality of production
of Chinese root, extreme sports holiday packages, an energy biogenerator,
production and trade of red tilapia in channels, genetic improvement
through eggs of Holstein livestock, lentil-based products to replace
meat's proteins, etc.
The students who presented their work were trained in programmes such
as Rural Youth; SENA-Empresas C.M. Mosquera Project; Units of Entrepreneurship
Programme at Training Centres; Sectoral Working Groups (flowers, rubber,
livestock); Flower-growing School Projects, SENA-Asocoflores agreements
and projects and exhibition of agreements signed by this Regional office
with training-for-work entities (BOSCONA).
In that place, recreation and academic activities were run and complemented
with a country walk that visitors to the Multisectoral Centre of Mosquera
could make. In addition, they could visit the horse academic exhibition,
the presentation of new curricular structures, a micro credit brigade,
the exhibition of floating classrooms in agribusiness, the presentation
of projects of the National Reincorporation Programme and a delicious
gastronomic show by the students who made it to the finals of the gastronomy
Olympics and rural tourism projects of Cundinamarca, among other activities.
The event also seeks to attract investors, suppliers and purchasers
of the agricultural sector in order to create and enhance associating
enterprises developed and strengthened by SENA's students. In that same
place representatives from private enterprises, banking and any organisation
interested in interacting with young entrepreneurs were present. Agrosena
2006 becomes a scenario where vocational training will be enhanced,
from the permanent application of new technologies and their development
in productive chains.
The five centres that belong to the Regional office are the Multisectoral
Centre of Mosquera, the Multisectoral Centre of Girardot, the Multisectoral
Centre of Fusagasuga, the Multisectoral Centre of the North-East of
Cundinamarca (in Chía) and Multisectoral Centre of the West of
Cundinamarca (in Villeta), together with the students trained by SENA
in the township of Soacha, where the next centre of the regional office
will be opened.
Cundinamarca Regional office, through its multisectoral centres, provides
training for the people of 116 townships of the department in every
economic sector. They have an educational offer that seeks to meet the
needs of knowledge of the community of Cundinamarca.
